Going into this movie, I heard about David Cronenberg and his body horror movies, but I was definitely not expecting whatever happened in this one.

The whole vibe was... so unsettling. That's why I didn't like it at first; because I was geniunely unnerved and scared. But then I realized that's the entire point of the movie. To literally BE unnerving and scary.

This is the first movie, I think, that has actually, geniunely unsettled me. Like, yeah, during some scenes of other movies, like Sinister or whatever, I've felt scared something was going to jump out and scare me, but none of them have this effect of making you feel geniunely unnerved.

Also, of course, there's the body horror, since it's David Cronenberg. Definitely gross. I didn't look away because I wasn't trying to be a wuss, but lowkey that was some of the grossest stuff I have yet seen.

So yeah. Am I glad I watched it? Definitely. Would I watch it again? Honestly, I don't really know. Would I recommend it to a friend? If they like horror, absolutely. If not, still yes, but with a heavy warning. I feel like this movie is too underrated.

Okay so I'm not gonna lie but I technically didn't see the last 5 minutes of the movie so sorry if this is so wrong that it's funny but I am SO GLAD that the woman died omfg she was so scary

Bro if she lived like I feel like I wouldn't be able to go asleep ever again ngl...

Also I'm just trying to put myself in the other people's perspectives. Like uh-oh, she hates me. Now what??? Like on God ts is lowkey such a scary concept... Eek :(

Bro I feel like I'm not alone when I say that the part where she like eats her own womb has GOT to be one of the worst things I've ever seen... And that's lowkey why this is my favorite scene; because it does what it's trying to do SO WELL.

And like you're on edge for the other guy bc he doesn't know what's gonna happen, like the little guys can turn on him at any moment... AH!
