I watched this a long time ago, probably when I was around 9 or 10, and I remember looking back on it fondly. I recently watched it again, and I honestly think the same. Somehow.
I'm not going to lie, but this being rated a PG movie is lowkey rediculous. For multiple aspects, I think this should be rated at least a PG-13. But whatever.
Anyway, this movie was honestly really good! It's funny, but not obnoxiously so, the characters are well-developed, and the plotline was fun and entertaining to follow. In most aspects, I feel like this is a really good movie!
I also like the fact that they added a lot of animation aspects to this movie as well. Like, stop-motion animation and such. I think that it really adds to the movie. It also adds to the cartoonish aspect of this movie a lot, like this movie did actually come straight from a cartoon. Which honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it did.
But I feel like it also underperforms in a lot of aspects as well. I feel like comedies, mostly, have lots of things going on. Because if you just make a funny movie, it's difficult to make it entertaining without lots of other things in the plotline. And while there are a lot of other things in this plotline, I feel like the things that happen are kind of mundane, and don't give that usually fast-paced comedy narrative.
That being said, this movie is somewhat of a rom-com, and romances are usually more slow-paced. Rom-coms themselves usually take the form of a romance, just with funnier characters and funnier things happening in the background of the movie. This takes the form of a rom-com with the emphasis being comedy. I really appreciate this new look on the rom-com genre, and I do like it a lot for this aspect. However, I still feel like more should've happened to make it more entertaining.
So yeah. I guess that's it. Still a great movie! I wouldn't want to miss it.

Bro the math class scene I thinks makes it to like the top 10-15 scenes ever ngl it's so good.

Basic ahh, I know. But I lava him!
He's such a dork. Like, I don't know... I loooove dorky characters.
Also, like, he's a good dorky character. Most people overdo it with the dorkiness and make them, like, uberdorky. But Savage Steve whoever did his character really well, I think. And he's actually a likable main character, which is really hard to do!
So yeah. kudos to this guy. Love him!
