Action/Superhero; PG-13
2025

I feel like this movie was very hyped from everything I saw about it, but to be honest all that I saw was a basic superhero movie.
I am going to structure this like a shit lasagna; a bad thing, then a good thing, then a bad thing, then a good thing, and so on for however long.
I'm going to start off by saying that it did not need to be that long. I feel like even less than halfway through the movie they were already wrapping up the plotline.
However, I did like the plot. I like where they went with it and it was also easy to follow, sort of.
But I feel like there were a lot of things that didn't really need to happen. I feel like a lot of those things are the reason that the movie drags on for so long, and I won't give examples but I'll save them for the spoiler section.
But I did find myself enjoying the cinematography a lot. I feel like I liked the shaky-cam in the high-action bits, like superman flying and such, and there were a lot of spinny-cam type things that I also liked.
However, and this is the big one, I find myself looking closely at some of the scenes and, I hate to say it, but a lot of these scenes look like they use some kind of AI. Like, some girls' hair looked shockingly similar to that AI would make.
But I don't think whole scenes used it -- I just think that some scenes look AI enhanced. And also for the year this was made, the AI is barely noticeable, so it would be unlikely that this good of AI software was even made yet.
But still -- I don't really think much about AI. Except for in art, where I wholeheartedly do not think it belongs. So maybe it was just some editing choices, but if it was actually made from AI, I think it knocks this movie's score down a bit for me.
I realize that I left this review with more bad than good, but it was a pretty good movie. I'm not a superhero movie fan, and for how good of a movie it is, I feel I have to leave it with at least a passing grade. But I do think that it is definitely not the best I've seen, and honestly it's very much overhyped. Please don't kill me for this review.
I feel like there's something I missed… The other people said this movie was so good... Oh well. Maybe I'll think of it later.
And also I feel like there was some kind of message I was supposed to pick up on that I feel was either hidden too deep or just not there. Because I got a little bit of like immigration or something but honestly? It seriously wasn't that deep. Idk. Prolly missing something.

It probably explained this in the movie when I wasn't listening, but why couldn't Luther close the tear? I feel like it was an easy fix...
Also like idk but Luther doesn't really seem like a very accurate character. I feel like everything he does is for a dumb reason, and then he spills another reason for it and you're like "oh good" but the other reason ends up being equally dumb.
I probably just didn't understand it, though. I hope.
Also that guy who got Eve to spill (idk his name) is NOT cute. Like at all. ESPECIALLY not on first glance. I mean, maybe if you look intently at his face for a good thirty seconds your brain will come up with something but seriously? That guy? Terrible casting I'm sorry.
Idk that's it. Please tell me what I'm missing because this is just not a good movie in my eyes.
Am I glad I watched it?
Mostly
Would I watch it again?
Chances are slim
Would I recommend it to a friend?
Perchance maybe

Mr. Terrific!
"I don't need help. I'm goddamn Mr. Terrific." or whatever he really said cuz I forgot.
Great character, dumb name. My name's stupid too. Happens to the best of us.
Anyway, I honesty thought that he was the only character I actually care about. Like Superman is obviously Superman and he loves humanity and wants to save everyone but it should have given us a better reason as to why.
Yeah idk. He was funny and real and lowkey I thought his power was tuff. Brains beat brawn...
