Comedy; R

2007

First thing I realized while watching this movie was that it was absolutely hilarious. I may have been the perfect target audience for this, because I was laughing at nearly almost every single joke that they put out. And usually with comedies I get bored and start laughing to laugh, but I GENIUNELY thought this movie was hilarious.

Second thing, I think this movie did a pretty okay job at showing teens! Obviously, it's not all realistic. Obviously. But there were still a lot of moments that they showed where I felt like it was very realistic!

Also the plot was good and funny, rapidly changing while also maintaining the comedy that it started with. It was a little inappropriate at times and a little hard to watch with the family around, but it was nothing too-too bad and when it was kind of bad, it was at least funny.

I'm kind of glazing this movie but honestly this movie was way funnier than I expected. Also, Michael Cera was hilarious and whoever played Seth was super funny, too. Fogle was hilarious, whoever plays him. It was all just really good.

but I was watching with my family, as previously stated, and my mom did not like this movie, nor did my sister. She was complaining about how the characters, notably Seth, were too annoying to enjoy the presence of and that it was like Dazed and Confused, but they also said that Dazed and Confused was better.

I think this movie just has a very specific target audience, who I would say would be rambunctious teens and men who used to be them. Or women, I don't know. And I think if you're in that target audience, this movie is terrific, and if not, you will probably think it's just okay.

But anyway. I thought it was great. Target audience probably will too. Others, perchance not. But still, I thought it was really good.

Evan!

This guy was actually seriously hilarious. And it's not just because he's played by Michael Cera, who's like seriosuly amazing at being awkward. Athough it didn't not help his case, I guess.

I loveeeeee awkward teenage characters. Like seriously. And if this guy wasn't an awkward teenage character, I don't know who was.

So yeah. I think all the other characters are all tied for second place. There wasn't really one black sheep bum character. But he's still the best!
