Comedy; R

1999

This is a movie made by Mike Judge, who also made Idiocracy, if anyone has seen that. I have, and I wasn't a huge fan of it, and neither am I with this movie.

I feel like the plot was kind of all over the place and while I really liked some characters, other characters were just so bad that it made me geniunely dislike the movie.

I also feel like it's having trouble sticking with me. Usually, after I watch a movie, I get something from it, as most people should. But I walked out of this movie feeling almost completely the same as I did walking into it.

And I don't know, this might be one of those movies that you watch multiple times to actually get it, or maybe I just am not a fan of this style of comedy, but this movie was mid except for the occasional part that was actually funny, which were mostly near the beginning.

I do have to say, I feel like this movie had a lot of potential for a good plot and for it to be actually funny, but as the movie goes on, it just gets wilder and wilder until you kind of feel like you've had enough, y'know?

I don't know. I feel like the big thing was the characters. There were a couple characters that kind of had no business being there and, while they were a good gag, I did not like them.

I feel like the humor you need to enjoy this movie is you have to think that you hate everything and a worst-case scenario is funny, kind of. And you have to like strange characters. Think Beavis and Butthead, or any other Adult Swim show characters.

Yeah, I guess that's it. I do really feel like this movie will grow on me eventually, but for now I don't remember much and it was just kind of okay.

Okay so the character that I really didn't like was freaking Milton. I didn't like how he talked and he was kind of getting pushed around and annoying and he was ALWAYS THERE. Like bro go away like he was lowkey just geniunely annoying and I didn't like him even though I kind of felt like I had to, y'know?

Also the freaking boss pmo ngl, but that's purposeful so whatever.

Idk that's lowkey it. Having trouble remembering a lot of it. The end ig.

Am I glad I watched it?
Yes

Would I watch it again?
Maybe?

Would I recommend it to a friend?
Probably

Favorite Character

Samir!

This guy was soooo funny and lowkey I feel like he carried most of the movie. Him and Michael.

Michael was actually a very close second, since I do like nerdy characters who can do cool computer stuff, and he's also pretty funny, but I think that Samir is lowkey funnier so yeah.

Speaking of Samir and Michael, do we see the vision? Like, I'm looking at them in some scenes and like, does anyone else feel this weird tension and feel like they've slept together? Always the funny side characters...

No but seriously this guy was hilarious and Michael was a very close second. Prolly one of my favorite character oat ngl...
