Romance; PG-13
1987

Hear me out, but Patrick Swayze was not allat.
I could definitely see how it was THE chick-flick fun movie to go to in the 80's. I mean, it was a love story that was corny and was between 2 different sides who can't love each other. It was a fun watch if you like that stuff, I guess.
That being said, I did not understand what was going on. Maybe in the 80's it was more obvious, but I didn't know why Patrick Swayze was even there until like halfway through the movie. I think it attempted to be a Romeo-and-Juliet but ended up being kind of meh.
Also, this movie's just not my genre. I'm not a big fan of corny, stupid romance popcorn flicks (I don't entirely mean that in a bad way) but if you are, then this is definitely a must-watch.
Am I glad I watched it? Yes. Would I watch it again? I don't know? Would I recommend it to a friend? I think so.
Idk. I'm feeling very conflicted. It wasn't a good movie, I don't think, but it's still a must-see.

Not much, but every character besides Baby, Johnny, and Penny were kinda lacking. Robbie? Who cares. I barely even saw him in the movie. Baby's sister? I dare you to even tell me her name. And there could've been like nobody else in the movie because who else even matters.
But yeah thats lowk it. Tbh I don't even remember this movie that well so idk.
Am I glad I watched it?
Yes
Would I watch it again?
Maybe?
Would I recommend it to a friend?
Probably

Baby!
Okay so I didn't really like her that much, and she wasn't a completely memorable character, but she's kinda just a big fat geek and honestly I love her for that because there are lowkey not enough awkward women in mainstream media. Yesss!!!
Also she lowkey reminds me of my mom in a way... same hair type, same geeky behavior... idk. Just smth I noticed.
