For some reason, lots of people my age LOVE this movie. I have came across multiple people in my life who have said that this is one of their favorite movies. And I get that, I guess. I mean, it's fun and stuff and it tells multiple good stories about caring about others and looking at what's around you and blah blah blah, but I mean...

Okay, listen. I might get slimed out for this opinion, but I just felt like this was just a basic Pixar movie. Yeah, it tells a good story and whatnot and the characters are good, and I guess worldbuilding too, but it all just felt a little basic.

If the characters weren't cars, and they were people instead, I feel like people wouldn't care about it, dare I say at all. It's just so... boring, I guess. It's been done around thirty-thousand times, but this time with cars. So?

But with all that said, I guess it was a really good movie. The animation was good and I guess the stories were good, too. It was definitely entertaining and I do think it is a staple in kids' movies.

Actually, on that note, I do think it is one of those kids' movies that is just better as a kids' movie. Some kids' movies, like Madagascar and Lego Batman, are actualy very entertaining as somebody older as well, but this movie felt like a movie that was made for kids and specifically for kids. If that makes any sense.

I feel like I'm comparing this movie to Zootopia a lot in my head. That was a good kids' movie. It had a good story and it had things that were entertaining as a kid and as somebody older. I feel like the message in Zootopia was bigger and more subtle for kids, and I feel like that was done really well I feel like in this one, the messages were important for kids, I guess, but I feel like watching it as somebody older, it was all just okay.

So yeah. Not a bad movie. Just more obviously one for kids. If that makes sense.

Mater!

I know this is literally everyone's answer, but there is definitely a reason for that.

I mean, he was funny, could do cool things and had cool experiences, and was obnoxious without being an insanely unlikeable character! He had likeable obnoxiousness, I guess.

Close second is Guido. Peet stop and allat. And Luigi I suppose. But Mater just had to take the cake cuz I mean... Duh.
